This tool promotes an ethical approach to participatory assessments for children and adolescents that moves away from structured dialogue and focus group discussions. The tool introduces participatory methods that are suitable for engaging with children and adolescents and includes a number of participatory assessment activities. Programme teams should consider this document before conducting assessments. Monitoring and evaluation teams may try some activities, instead of focus group discussions.
