Reality Check Approach

May 2020

The Reality Check Approach (RCA) is a powerful approach to research for improving the connection between pro-poor policies, their implementation, and the people that such policies are supposed to serve.

Through both retrospective and longitudinal ‘immersion and listening studies’, RCA offers governments, donors, development programmes and practitioners an opportunity to shed light on whether their policies and interventions are relevant and translate into tangible improvements in the lives of targeted individuals.
