Though access to basic water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) has increased in Cambodia over the past decade, it remains low compared to other countries in Southeast Asia. Access to basic WASH is particularly challenging for women and girls, especially those living with disabilities.
Responding to the 2030 Agenda call to ‘leave no one behind’, WaterAid and the Cambodia Rural Sanitation and Hygiene Improvement Programme (CRSHIP) undertook qualitative research to learn more about the WASH experiences of women living with disabilities in Cambodia.
CRSHIP has been working closely with government agencies and development partners to adopt inclusive, human-centred design approaches to WASH interventions.
